You're the Manning
With the build up leading to Super Sunday what lessons can we take from the 2 championship teams who made it to the big game.
The first thing that is abundantly clear is you must have strong leaders. Both the quarterbacks Brady and Eli step up and take control when needed. The coaches are also responsible for the success. Most agree how good Belicheck is. But, Coughlin battles back from the hot seat every year even as the naysayers start to question his ability. It's not always pretty but he gets the job done. Eli got hit 20 times in the NFC championship game and kept getting up. Obviously, what happened to Eli's brother just goes to show how devastating the loss of a good leader and producer can really be.
I'm not sure how much better the Colts would have been with Peyton this year it is difficult to say but, I can almost guarantee it would not have been nearly as brutal a season as it was had Peyton been in there for a few games
The other thing that becomes clear is while both teams have their stars the supporting cast regularly contributes to get the win . It is not always a one man show. So it is that this Giants trio of receivers produced 197 catches for 3,251 yards and 20 touchdowns this year. That gives Manning a lot to work with.
The Patriots are in their fifth Super Bowl in 11 years and they have had a constantly revolving cast of characters in the roster. Who heard of Gronkowski a year ago. Now he's a record-breaking game changer while Ochocinco has been almost invisible.
On the other side of the ball the Giants defense turned around their season with a five-game winning streak to make it to Indianapolis, the Giants (12-7) have allowed a total of 67 points, 13.4 per game, and produced 20 sacks with no opposing quarterback throwing for more than 251 yards – including Aaron Rodgers of the Packers. So this tells us that we must be well-rounded.
In terms of our fitness businesses that means we should have a solid offense which can put up big numbers. This can be accomplished by aggressive marketing(good game plan), effective sales systems (top-notch execution), and the ability to close opportunities(score in the red zone).
As far as a defense it's a lot like retention in the club we need to cause turnovers(flip cancellations requests) Defend the goal line and protect our side of the field (not give into competition) Get the crowd into the game (engage members with ongoing communication)
There are countless lessons we could draw from the performance of championship sports teams and this year both squads have what it takes to end up on top.
We all need to ask ourselves how can we build and structure our team, lead and develop our players, create our game plan, and finally go out and execute to plan when you need it most or adjust the plan if the original one isn't working so that the end result proves you have what it takes to be the best in the world at what you do.
Well, are you prepared to take these lessons and apply them so you can become a Champion?
In case your curious as for a pick I like the Pats by a field goal.
